The Immune System

The role of the Immune System – a collection of structures and processes within the body – is to protect against disease or other potentially damaging foreign bodies.  When functioning properly, the Immune System identifies a variety of threats, including viruses, bacteria and parasites.  A healthy immune system has the capability of distinguishing these threats from the body’s own health tissue.

The major components of the Immune System include lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, lymphocytes, thymus and leukocytes.

During February’s Body Signals Workshop, we will be teach you what you can do to boost your immune system.

Stay tuned, as throughout the month, leading up to this workshop, we will share valuable information about your body’s Immune System.
